Let me start by saying that my husband and I are both generally skeptical about realtors and people in that industry in general. We happen to meet Jeff Barnhart when he was showing us a different home and thought he seemed like an honest enough guy, so we spent a day looking at houses. Looking back, I am so thankful that we did.
First off, he is extremely on top of his game. Personally, I am an impatient person especially with the nerve-wracking task of homebuying, so I really appreciated someone who returned our calls and emails very quickly. Not only punctual and flexible with his time (which can be a dealbreaker for us when dealing with realtors), but Jeff is also very resourceful. If he didn't know something we asked him about a house, he would look it up for us while we were in that house. That was such a great tool in assessing each house and its value to us as we went. We decided to use him for all our house-hunting needs and really enjoyed working with him. He is a genuinely nice and funny guy who loves his job which really helps when you have to spend hours looking at houses together.
Once we found a house we were really interested in, Jeff executed our paperwork quickly and efficiently. And he did a phenomenal job of negotiating for us. Even after we had walked away, he continued negotiations so that we could get the house we wanted at the price we were willing to pay.
We will definitely be calling Jeff to help us with our next home purchase! We are happy to be a reference for Jeff anytime.
